Registration

ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

You may register on-site the day of the event. See map for registration locations.

Symposium (June 1)

Registration will begin at 8:15am in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.

Paid registrations include a materials package and lunch. Free registration (without materials or lunch) will be granted to full-time undergraduate or graduate students, space permitting.

  • Industry/Government ($180)
  • Faculty/Staff ($100) - UMD and other academic institutions
  • Full-Time Student (Free) - please bring student ID
  • Press (Free) - if covering event

Materials package includes:

  • A set of the latest HCIL technical reports and slides from the Symposium talks
  • DVD of our HCIL 2006 Video Reports
  • Discounts on books authored by HCIL faculty
  • HCIL totebag and pen

Demonstrations (June 1)

The demonstrations following the symposium on June 1, from 3:30-5:00 pm is FREE. Registration is not required.

Tutorials/Workshops (June 2)

Registration will begin at 8:30am in the lobby of the CSIC (Computer Science Instructional Center) Building.

Tutorial registration ($200) includes coffee, lunch and any handouts.

T1: Introduction to Human-Computer Interaction
T2: An Introduction to Usability Testing

Workshop registration ($45) includes coffee, lunch and any handouts. Registration requires prior authorization from the workshop organizer.

W1: The Usability and Security of Electronic Voting Systems **FULL**
W2: Humans and the Semantic Web **FULL**
W3: Universal Usability

Payment Information

We accept payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover), check or purchase order made payable to "UMIACS/HCIL/SOH".  If 3 or more register from the same organization at the same time, you qualify for a 10% discount.
